About PP55

Princeton Project 55 (PP55) is an independent alumni-led 501(c)(3) non profit organization that engages alumni in significant public interest initiatives.  Project 55 inspires, enables and promotes the creation of public interest initiatives, and participation in them, by Princeton alumni of all ages (whether as individuals, or in class and other common-interest affiliations), and then helps to grow and sustain them.

Since its inception in 1989, The Project 55 Fellowship Program has partnered with more than 500 nonprofit organizations to place more than 1,300 Princetonians in paid public interest positions around the country. PP55 is currently working to develop a new initiative focused on providing civic engagement opportunities for Princeton alumni considering mid-career transitions.

Reaching out, Project 55 also supports development of organizations of similar purpose in other alumni communities. More than 30 other colleges and universities have developed similar programs based on the Project 55 model and are supported by The Alumni Network, our outreach initiative.
